Correction: miniature ultrasound machines

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — In an Oct. 8 story about miniature ultrasound machines, The Associated Press misstated the number of heart disease cases that would have been missed in a theoretical example. If the scanning done on 200 people was 90 percent accurate and the true disease rate was 10 percent, the scan would have missed two cases, not 18.
