"Fana"

Sione Tonga'onevai Fotofili was called back to his Heavenly Father on October 6, 2007, surrounded by his family.He was born July 1, 1942 in Tongoleleka, Ha'apai, Tonga Island. He was the fourth of six children to Tevita Fotofili and Selina Fai'ana Maka.

He was a devoted father, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends in the Tongan Community. As a young adult he was a seaman and traveled the world. He settled down in Utah where he met and married Shirley Darlene Steadman on February 19, 1976. He was a member of the

Tongan United Methodist Church for years, where he enjoyed serving as choir director. He later joined the LDS faith.

Survivors: daughter, Selina Fai'ana Fotofili (Sandy); siblings, Supileo Fotofili, Viliami Fotofili (Tonga); Siosiua Afu Fotofili (Salt Lake); Pasikole Kaifoto (Niue); stepsons

Philip and Bruce Panas (Salt Lake). He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Fotofili; his parents Tevita and Fai'ana Fotofili and his sister Henelieta Fonua.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Sandy 4th Ward, Tongan Stake, 10600 S. 275 E. A viewing will be held at the same location on Friday evening, Oct. 12, from 7-11 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Interment: Valley View Memorial Park. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him and we look forward to seeing him again. Arrangements in the care of Garner Funeral Home.
