Carlesimo nabs 1st win with Sonics

P.J. Carlesimo earned his first win as SuperSonics' coach, 96-90 over the Cleveland Cavaliers in an exhibition game Friday night in Cleveland.

Cavs All-Star forward LeBron James was forced out of action in the third quarter because of a right shoulder contusion. The injury doesn't appear to be serious. He had 14 points for the Cavs.

Forward Chris Wilcox led all scorers with 20 points and eight rebounds for Seattle.

NETS 91, SIXERS 90: At Philadelphia, Bostjan Nachbar scored 35 points and made the winning free throws with 8.8 seconds left to lead a New Jersey Nets team that left their stars at home to an overtime win over the Philadelphia 76ers. New Jersey's Vince Carter, Jason Kidd, Richard Jefferson and Nenad Krstic all sat this one out.

MAGIC 102, HEAT 69: At Orlando, J.J. Redick had 19 points on 5-of-6 shooting and the Orlando Magic routed the Miami Heat. Both teams were missing key players in a game most notable for sloppy ball handling — 44 turnovers — and early fouls — 33 in the first half.
