Teams rescue man with hypothermia

AMERICAN FORK — Search and rescue teams were called out Saturday to rescue a hiker suffering from hypothermia.

KSL-TV reported the man and his friends were hiking the Alpine Scenic Loop early Saturday morning when the man somehow became wet. Friends tried to keep him warm throughout the night in a small tent.

It took searchers several hours to reach the group and bring them out of the mountains to be treated for exposure to cold temperatures.
