West Valley man's tiebreaker nets Grid Picks tickets

Ten correct was the best anyone could score last week in the college Grid Picks contest.

Bryan Curtis of West Valley was closest on the Utah-SDSU tiebreaker, missing the 23-7 final by 10 points to win tickets to an upcoming football game and a Grid Picks T-shirt. Just 7 percent of the 1,146 entries picked Kentucky to upset LSU, and only 4 percent picked Oregon State's shocker over Cal.

Runners-up, also with 10 correct, were Adrian Skinner of Sandy; Liz Hartman of Highland; Nicholas Henderson of Orem; Joseph Isaksen of Woodstock, Ga.; Grenda Knapp of Du Quoin, Ill.; and Carly Wood of Las Cruces, N.M. Each wins a T-shirt.

Among media panelists, Loren Jorgensen of the Deseret Morning News was 9-3, Tom Kirkland of KSL-TV was 8-4 and Greg Wrubell of KSL-Radio went 7-5. Kirkland retains a slim overall lead.

Because Utah and TCU play Thursday, entries at are due one hour prior to kickoff. Only one entry per e-mail address, please.
