Obituary: Gwen Thompson Chatterley

Gwen Thompson Chatterley

"Grandma GG"

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Gwen Thompson Chatterley, 85, returned to her Heavenly Father, Oct. 14, 2007. She died in Bountiful, Utah after a valiant struggle. She was born April 10, 1922 in Bancroft, Idaho to Israel Ernest and Anna Marie Swensen Thompson. She married her eternal sweetheart, Earl W. Chatterley on July 6, 1943 in Cedar City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized May 3, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. We rejoice in the glorious reunion of our father and mother who were such sweethearts in mortality and now eternally together.

They were blessed with four daughters who she loved and adored along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.

She loved caring for and serving others. Her home was always open to family and friends. She will be greatly missed. She had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and had great faith in the power of priesthood blessings.

Survived by daughter, Sharon Hatch (Robert); Kristine Bowler; Janice Francom (Mark); and Kathy Carlson (Larry); 11 grandsons; five granddaughters; 21 great-grand children; and one soon to be born; sisters, Connie Bangerter and LaNore Smedley Henderson.
