• "Spaghetti Spooktacular" sponsored by the Democratic Women of Utah County, 6:30 p.m., Oct. 20 at the Sorensen Center, UVSC campus. Includes a spaghetti buffet, games, fortune telling and entertainment. Feel free to come in costume. Cost: $10. RSVP to 489-9681.

• The Dreaded Grove now through Nov. 3, Springville Exit 261. Head west one block to the Camelot Forest. Walk, ride or run through 66 haunted acres. Events include the Dreaded Grove (for 13-older), Spooky Woods (ages 3-12), Terror Tent featuring classic scary movies, bat flight zip line, a 40-foot death jump, Halo 3 tournaments with prizes, fortune tellers, haunted hayrides, haunted swamp rides on amphibious vehicles and food vendors. • Haunted Forest/Hollow and New Psycho Manor, 1100 S. 500 East, American Fork. Monday-Saturday through Oct. 31. Hours: weekdays 7:30-10 p.m.; Fridays and Saturday from 7:30 p.m.-midnight. • Hee Haw Farms and Corn Maze through Oct. 31, 4500 W. 700 South. Take Pleasant Grove east Exit 275. Head west to 2000 West. Turn left. Follow the signs. Hours: Monday-Thursday 4-10 p.m.; Friday, 4-11 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. This year's 9-acre corn maze and theme is "Celebrating Our Heritage." Activities include an animal train, a corn cannon, the pumpkin patch, racing pedal cars, a hay wagon, animal alley, rubber ducky and piglet races. Prices/packages vary. See or call 368-4335.

• "Shadowbrook Mansion"/"Hotel Frankenstein" playing alternate nights through Oct. 26/30 respectively at 7:30 p.m. at the Valley Center Playhouse, 780 N. 200 East, Lindon. This is the 25th anniversary of these Halloween favorites. Cost: $6/$5 students, $25/family. Call 785-1186.

• Cornbelly's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Fest through Oct. 31, Mondays-Thursdays from 4-10 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays and fall break weekend (Oct. 11-13) from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Thanksgiving Point, Lehi. • Second annual In the Dark in Spanish Fark Spook Alley, through Oct. 27 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) from 7-9:30 p.m. Thursday and from 7 p.m. until the lines end on the weekend. In the Dark offers 14 scary rooms of various themes and a 100-foot maze corridor. If torture chambers are not to your liking, there's sure to be a room that fits your pleasure, like the creepy crawly tomb, the haunted cemetery or the witch's den. Cost: $8/in advance at the city office, $9 at the door ($1 off with student ID). Groups of 20 or more get a discount of $7.50 per ticket, but arrangements must be made. Call 798-5000, ext. 57. • Halloween Adventure Cruise through Oct. 31, 6:30-9 p.m. weekdays; 6:30-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Ride the riverboat on the lower Provo River. It's like a hayride on water. More than 100 pumpkins reflecting off the water greet riders. Enjoy scary stories and songs. A pirate attacks the boat and ends up handing out candy. Excursion boats accommodate up to 40 people each. • Tricks and Treats Halloween Carnival, Oct. 25 and 26 from 7-9 p.m. at The Center, 222 W. 500 North, Provo. Cost: $2/$8 per family. Children 3-under free. Activities include arts and crafts, entertainment, a magic show, haunted house, food and face painting. Call 852-7635.

• 16th annual Halloween Fun Run 5K to benefit the American Cancer Society, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m., American Fork Fitness Center, 454 N. Center.
