Voucher issue not about money

The voucher issue should not have become a battle between public and private schools as to which entity does or does not deserve public money. It should be focused on providing the education the parents feel is best for them.

Regardless of how the vote turns out, some parents will still choose to educate their children through private or home schools. The choice to home school or enroll children in private schools carries a heavy financial burden for these parents, most of whom are paying property taxes earmarked for education. Are these children any less deserving of receiving some financial support than children in public schools?
