PROVO — A man and his girlfriend were arrested Wednesday night after police say they found almost $3,500 of drugs in their Provo apartment.
The Utah County Major Crimes Task Force served a search warrant at a home near 900 W. 300 North just before midnight and found 2 1/2 ounces of methamphetamine and an ounce of cocaine in a bedroom, as well as an electronic scale, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed in 4th District Court.
The electronic scale was one commonly used to weigh drugs to sell, according to the officer's statements in the affidavit.
Police say a handgun and ammunition were also found in the bedroom of the 29-year-old man and the 25-year-old woman.
The couple was booked into the Utah County Jail for investigation of possession of meth and cocaine with the intent to distribute.
They are each being held on $15,000 cash or bond bail.
