VOLLEYBALL: Utah begins the second half of Mountain West Conference play this week, taking on No. 21 Colorado State for the second time this season today in Fort Collins, Colo. The Utes defeated the Rams 3-1 in their first meeting this season, Colorado State's only MWC loss thus far.

Weber State

ATHLETICS:Bob Hill and Chick Hislop, two Ogden natives who excelled in track and field both as participants and coaches, and Mike Sivulich Sr., a men's basketball player who came to Ogden nearly 50 years ago, were inducted into the Weber State University Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday.

VOLLEYBALL: Weber State posted its second-best hitting percentage of the season and swept Portland State on Thursday night at the Swenson Gym. The 30-23, 30-26, 30-21 victory over the Vikings puts WSU at 6-3 in Big Sky action. Brittney Bisaillon led Weber State with 12 kills and nine blocks.


SOCCER: The Southern Utah women's soccer team fell to the Oakland Golden Grizzlies 3-0 Friday afternoon. The loss drops the Thunderbirds to 0-2-3 in the Summit League while Oakland improves to 5-2-0.

SWIMMING: BYU swept the women's side of the Mountain West Conference Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors with freshman swimmer Aleesha Miller and senior diver Angela Nelson receiving the first honors of the year.
