BILOXI, Miss. — Bobby Jackson scored 17 points to lead the New Orleans Hornets to a 92-85 victory over Miami on Friday night, keeping the Heat winless in five preseason games.
Chris Paul had 16 points and six assists for the Hornets (3-2), who used a 19-9 run in the third quarter to tie the game 67-67.
Jackson scored 12 points in the fourth quarter as the Hornets outscored Miami 25-18.
Miami centers Shaquille O'Neal, Alonzo Mourning and Michael Doleac all skipped the trip to the Mississippi coast because of injuries. Guard Dwyane Wade continues to recover from offseason shoulder surgery and also didn't make the trip.
Udonis Haslem had 20 points for the Heat (0-5), while Jason Williams added 19 and Smush Parker 12.
RAPTORS 92, BULLS 82: At Toronto, Andrea Bargnani scored 19 points to lead the Toronto Raptors to a preseason victory over the Chicago Bulls on Friday night. Juan Dixon added 17 points, Rasho Nesterovic had 12 and newcomer Jamario Moon finished with 10 as the Raptors (3-2) played just their second exhibition game against an NBA opponent.
WIZARDS 115, ZALGARIS KAUNAS 96: At Washington, Andray Blatche had 20 points and eight rebounds and Nick Young added 15 points to lead the Washington Wizards to an exhibition victory over Zalgaris Kaunas on Friday night.
TIMBERWOLVES 113, PACERS 110: At Indianapolis, Craig Smith scored 20 points, and Ricky Davis had 19 to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 113-110 double-overtime preseason victory over the Indiana Pacers on Friday night. Al Jefferson finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Rashad McCants scored 18 points for the Timberwolves.
MAVERICKS 122, PISTONS 94: At Dallas, Dirk Nowitzki scored 25 points and Josh Howard added 20 to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a preseason victory over the Detroit Pistons.
TRAIL BLAZERS 101, KINGS 77: At Portland, Travis Outlaw scored 24 points to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a victory over the Sacramento Kings.
