1930 ~ 2007

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Carol Stephenson Gerrard, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 17th due to medical complications.She was born on November 22, 1930 to William Warner and Lua Linton Stephenson in Nephi and was the youngest of five children. Carol married Richard Lowell Gerrard in the Salt Lake Temple on June 4, 1953. They were married for 45 years and are the proud parents of five children. Carol graduated from the BYU School of Nursing at the University of Utah. She was a registered nurse for 40 years at LDS Hospital. She served as secretary for the Daughters of Pioneers and as a temple worker for several years. Her kind nature won her many friends wherever she went. She was also involved in many LDS church callings. Some of her happiest times were enjoyed at her summer home at Bear Lake. She shared her love of music by singing in different choirs.

Survived by two brothers, Robert (Ethel) Stephenson and Kenneth (Mary) Stephenson as well as her five children, Colleen (Mike)

Clement, Gail (Bill) Watson, Jan (Steve) Dilks, Tom (Chris) Gerrard, and Neil (Pam Okumura) Gerrard as well as 21 grandchildren,13 great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2007 at the Park LDS Ward Chapel, 1125 No. 400 West, Centerville. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Monday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. She will be buried next to her eternal companion at the Taylorsville Cemetery. Online condolences at
