Gary Raymond Losser
Gary Raymond Losser, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Oct. 20, 2007. He is the son of Harold and Leta Losser.
Born Feb. 12, 1938 in Colorado. He grew up in Leland (Spanish Fork), Utah and enjoyed a happy and adventurous childhood. He was devoted to his loving parents and four wonderful sisters. He married his beautiful wife and friend, Patricia Steffensen, December 15, 1962 in the Los Angeles Temple for time and all eternity. This began a journey filled with love, happiness, service, and devotion to each other. The joy and delight of his life were his five children and 10 grandchildren. His children will always remember his righteous example, his unconditional love, being a hard worker, his friendliness to others, and his love for life!
He graduated from Utah State University and taught in the elementary grades for 33 years. He loved teaching and touched the lives of many children. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has a love and testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ and loved serving others. He willingly served in many church callings. His joy of missionary work began when he served in the southern states and Florida mission and that joy continued throughout his life.
Survived by his wife; five children, Becky (Alan) Nicol, Jodi (Nate) Nelson, Brent (Julie) Losser, Melinda (Eric) Olsen, Todd (Ashley) Losser; and 10 grandchildren (his Tigers!)
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Midvale East 4th Ward LDS chapel, 87 East 7100 South. Viewings will be held Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Thursday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
