Radio sirens dangerous

It would seem to me a no-brainer that broadcasters should abide by a policy of not broadcasting the sound of a siren. The most recent example is KNRS (AM 570) broadcasting an advertisement for Expand2Nevada.

If a person is listening to the radio in the car while on a busy road or freeway, the reaction may be to slow down and pull over. That's dangerous, especially if the other cars aren't doing the same.
