DeVon "Hungry" Boothe

DeVon J. "Hungry" Boothe passed away on October 21, 2007 doing the thing he loved most "Hunting". Hungry was born to James L. and Faye Schwaar Boothe on August 23, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was married to Lona Andelin, they later divorced. Hungry married his sweetheart, Shirley Anne Boothe on August 19, 1979. They made their home in Erda, Utah.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Delin Boothe and his
parents, James and Faye Boothe. Hungry's children include: Delin Boothe, Karee (Bart) Powell, Cindy (Todd) Eisbury, Jay (Dani) Boothe, Dee Dee (Rodney) Ruby, Dee Ann (John) Johnson, LuAnn (Robert) Olson. Hungry found much joy in his 21 grandchildren and five great-grand-children. Hungry's brothers and
sisters include: David "Bud" Boothe (his best fishing buddy), Janet
(Roger) Hayes, Ruby (Bruce) Bottomley, Charlene (Kent) Nye.
Hungry worked as an electrician for over 30 years. He retired from Cache Valley Electric in 2000. In his youth Hungry served in the Navy and worked on the Alta Ski Patrol.
Hungry enjoyed many years of
raising and racing horses as well as chariot racing with treasured friends and family. Hungry had a deep love for hunting, spending each October in the mountains. The last couple of years his birds and dogs were great companions. A special memory for all was his favorite horse "Lefty".
All services will be held at Tate's Mortuary; the viewing on Wed. Oct. 24th from 6-8 p.m. The funeral
service will be held Thurs. October 25th beginning at 11 a.m. with a viewing 9:30-10:30 a.m. The
burial will be at the Tooele City Cemetery following the services.
