Event to honor women with cancer

PROVO — Breast cancer survivors and those still fighting will be honored at an "Evening in Pink" event in Provo.

One woman will receive $10,000 and other items and services from 40 other companies to help make her life more comfortable.

Two others will also be honored — a survivor and a family who has lost someone to breast cancer.

There will be a chocolate fountain and a silent auction with all of the money from the auction going directly to survivors. There will also be entertainment from a women's a cappella group from Brigham Young University, Noteworthy.

Abby Bonell from Kozy 106.5 will be master of ceremonies.

Stories from survivors are posted on the Web site: www.thinkpinkforlife.blogspot.com.

"We have 78 stories so far from women all over the nation," said Shannon Gollady. "They're incredible."
