'07 West Nile season ends with 'mild' rank

Official surveillance for West Nile virus has ended for 2007, according to state health officials. And it was a "mild" season compared to last year.

In all, 68 humans were infected. There was one death in Salt Lake County.

Other surveillance totals include 18 infected horses, 19 wild birds, 74 chickens and 225 mosquito pools.

The virus was detected in 19 Utah counties.
