Obituary: Melba Fay Henline Batt

Melba Fay Henline Batt

1919 ~ 2007

West Valley City Melba Fay Henline Batt completed her earthly journey on the afternoon of October 24, 2007.

She was born August 5, 1919 to Marion J. Henline and Nannie May Newberry in Thistle, Utah. She married her husband, Jack Junior Batt, January 8, 1947, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They recently celebrated their 60th Anniversary. She was a loving wife, mother of six, grandmother of 21, great grandmother of 58, and great great grandmother of 13. She loved her family and her Heavenly Father. She was valiant in her testimony of Jesus Christ. She attended Webster and Cyprus Schools in Magna; and worked at Tooele Army Depot and Kennecott Copper.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, stepmother, 17 brothers and sisters, son, Kay Beagley; daughter, Gloria (Dick) Burmester, and granddaughter, Michelle Burmester. She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Batt; son, Jamie (Judy) Batt, L.V., Nevada; daughters, Connie (Ron) Furden, Kathy (Jay) Salazar, W.V.C., Utah, and Bev (John) Taylor, Kearns, Utah; sisters, Barbara York and Carla Radmall.

The family would like to thank the sweet caregivers at W.V.C. Rocky Mountain Care Center and Hospice.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Valley View Funeral Home Chapel, 4335 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a visitation Monday at 12:00 noon prior to the service. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
