Obituary: Vera Sevy Peterson Fotheringham

Vera Sevy Peterson Fotheringham

1914 ~ 2007

Vera Sevy Peterson Fotheringham was born on June 10, 1914 in Panguitch, Utah, to Thomas and Amy Sevy. She married Byron N. Peterson in Bountiful on December 19, 1931. Their marriage was solemnized March 27, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. Byron died July 30, 1966. Vera married Donald Fotheringham in Provo Oct. 3, 1972. Don died February 11, 1988. Vera passed on October 25, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Vera volunteered for Primary Children's Hospital. She was a member of the D.U.P. She worked at the Salt Lake Clinic. Being LDS she served a mission with Don to the Arizona Tempe Mission. She loved sharing her knowledge of genealogy and the history of her family, Garfield County and Panguitch with all.

Vera is survived by her four grandchildren Byron E. (Lynne) Arnold, Karen K. (Chris) Richardson, Sydney A. Smith, and Kym R. Halls, eight great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Vera is also survived by Don's family and many nieces and nephews with whom she shared a special bond. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and her loving daughter, Patricia Arnold. All 13 of her brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 S. 100 W. in Richfield. Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral services are provided by Neal S.
