Public schools not failing

There is so much discussion about our "failing" public schools. Our schools are not failing. Our system of accountability is failing.

When a school can pass 39 out of 40 areas (98 percent success) and yet be labeled failing, that is wrong. If students received 98 percent on a test, they would expect to be rewarded with an A.

No Child Left Behind. With so many great things going on in our schools, we should be asking what is wrong with this picture? Where are our priorities?
