2nd person is charged in '06 killing at party

A second man has been charged with the shooting death of a man during a riot at a party last year.

According to charges filed in 3rd District Court Friday, Anthony David Milligan, 20, fired shots toward two men during a fight in the early morning hours of July 4, 2006, in Salt Lake City.

One of the men, 18-year-old Tevita Finau Vaenuku, died at the scene, and the other one was treated for multiple gunshot wounds.

A warrant was issued for Milligan. He is charged with criminal homicide, a first-degree felony that carries a sentence of five years to life in prison, and aggravated assault, a second-degree felony with a sentence of one to 25 years in prison.

The fight, which eventually involved nearly 60 people, started with an argument between two girls. Police previously arrested Marco Mike Heimuli and charged him in the killing.
