Mary Lucille Oviatt Judi
1924 ~ 2007
Mary Lucille Oviatt Judi passed away at the age of 83 on November 1, 2007, at her daughters home in Lehi, Utah. Lucille was born on June 13, 1924 in Hiawatha, Utah. She was the fifth of seven children born to James and Ruth Oviatt. She was raised in Carbon and Emery counties and spent the last three years of her life living in Lehi with her daughter. She married Jack Judi on June 16, 1944 in Price, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Her happiest times were spent raising her family in Hiawatha.
Her greatest joy in life was to serve others. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved and cared for her family. She was selfless in caring for her diabetic daughter, Becky, and gave constant care to her husband, Jack, in his final years. She was a faithful member of the LDS church and served in many callings. She especially enjoyed serving with Jack in the Manti Temple and in their calling as LDS Church employment specialists.
She enjoyed holiday family traditions, such as cooking for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner, going to the desert for Easter and decorating her house for the seasons.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Becky; her son, Terry; her grandson, Terry Haslam; her parents; her brothers Dal and Gerald; and her sister, Theressa Frandsen.
She is survived by her daughter, Shaunna (Bruce) Haslam of Lehi, Utah; son, Vaughn (Marianne) Judi of Castle Dale, Utah; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Theron Oviatt; sisters, Myra Ricks, and Kathryn (Kenneth) Pierce.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 5 at 12 p.m. at the Price 5th ward chapel, 545 E. 400 N. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Fausett Mortuary, 680 E. 100 S. Price, Ut., and one hour prior to funeral services. Interment will follow at the Price City Cemetery, under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
