Sophia So-King Lew (Liu) 2/6/1926 ~ 1/27/2007 Our beloved Sophia So-King Lew, 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on January 27, 2007 in Sandy, Utah. Born February 6, 1926 in Toishan, Canton Province, China to Loi Yee-Kuen and Lee Choi-Fan. She married Karl Tak-Yee Lew in 1943, moved to Hong Kong in 1956, immigrated to Utah in 1971, and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1990 of which she was very proud. She was a devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother. With hard work and sacrifice, she and her husband managed to raise seven successful children. She was an excellent cook, gardener, and enjoyed playing mahjong, especially with her grandchildren. She made everyone laugh with her great sense of humor unique only to her. Her everlasting smile will be missed forever. Sophia is survived by her husband of 63 years; children: Bosco (Annie); Vernon (Jane); Marsha; Kevin (Stella); Lloyd (Monica); Susan (Morgan); Kenneth (Melissa); and 24 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 12 noon at Larkin Sunset Gardens (1950 E. 10600 S.). Viewing will be held on Friday, Feb. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
