Utah Jazz power forward Carlos Boozer was named Thursday to the NBA All-Star team as a Western Conference reserve player.

Boozer, however, is out with a hairline fracture of the left fibula head leading to his left knee. Boozer, on Wednesday, did not rule out playing in the Feb. 18 game in Las Vegas should he be named to the team.

The Jazz said, however, that a fracture, such as that sustained by Boozer, typically takes 4-5 weeks to heal.

If Boozer can't play in the game, NBA Commissioner David Stern will name a replacement.

Boozer is the first Jazz All-Star selection since Andrei Kirilenko in 2004.
