SHARE SkyWest reports an upswing in its operational statistics

ST. GEORGE — SkyWest Inc. on Monday reported mostly increases in operational statistics for January, compared with the same month a year earlier.

Revenue passenger miles were up 11.1 percent to 1.3 billion. Available seat miles grew 13.5 percent to to 1.8 billion. Load factor for the St. George-based company's two airlines was 72.2 percent, down 1.6 percentage points. Passenger boardings totaled nearly 2.5 million, up 6.8 percent year over year.

SkyWest subsidiaries are SkyWest Airlines, based in St. George, and Atlanta-based ASA. Combined, they serve about 233 cities in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean with approximately 2,520 daily flights.
