Jazz bigman Mehmet Okur was named Tuesay to play in his first NBA All-Star Game.
NBA Commission David Stern made the selection after both Phoenix point guard Steve Nash and Denver guard Allen Iverson bowed out due to injuries. Okur will be the Jazz's only participating representative in Sunday's game in Las Vegas.
Jazz starting power forward Carlos Boozer also was selected as a Western Conference reserve, but he cannot play due to injury as well.
