Irene Schrader Hutchinson Our Angel Mother Irene Riemer Schrader Hutchinson was reunited with her loving husband, Wilford Merril Hutchinson on February 13, 2007 when she passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of her home. Born December 31, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William and Wanda Ida Riemer Schrader. She was active in Girls Scouts as a young girl and graduated from Granite High School. She loved skiing, singing and participating in church activities. She married "the boy next door", Wilford M. Hutchinson, May 27, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. Their life was filled with adventure as they started their family in the open range of Nevada. In 1952 they moved to the swamps of Florida where they were called to serve an LDS mission running the Deseret Cattle Ranch. They moved back to Salt Lake to raise their family where the last of their eight children were born. In 1970 they moved to Walnut Creek, CA to open a Mercedes Benz dealership. Four years later she lost her sweetheart and moved back to Utah to finish raising her children. She served valiantly in many positions including Relief Society, Primary and Young Women's president, bishop's wife, and a 32 year calling as Stake Singles Representative. Her life was full of service to her friends, single sisters, "my ladies", and family. She never missed birthdays or special events of her children or grandchildren. You could always count on Mom to liven up any event with her joke of the day. She loved life and blessed others with her countless acts of service. Because she loved her Heavenly Father she shared with others her testimony of Jesus Christ at every opportunity. Survived by her children: Marsha (Michael) Branan, Merla (Brent) Sorensen, Wanda (Jim) Gilbert, Merril (Joan) Hutchinson, Pat (Jim) McLaughlin, Tammie (Mark) Nigh, Mark (Sharon) Hutchinson, Matthew (Jill) Hutchinson; 37 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; sisters: Wanda Patton, Helen Blatter; brother, George Schrader.
