SHARE Road work to restrict Sandy lanes

The Utah Department of Transportation is advising motorists of lane restrictions and road closures along 10600 South in Sandy, because of road-construction work. Beginning on Monday, from the I-15 interchange to State Street, all left turns along 10600 South will be prohibited.

Lane restrictions will begin on Sunday. A left-turn lane will be maintained at the intersection of 10600 South and State Street.

In addition, all pedestrian crossings along 10600 South from I-15 to State Street will be closed. Speeds along State Street will be reduced to 30 mph from 10600 South to 9000 South.

UDOT is advising motorists to use the 9000 South or 12300 South interchanges. The South Towne Mall can still be accessed from State Street or the South Jordan Gateway. For more information, log on to udot.utah.gov.
