LAMPLEY GIVEN PROBATION: Jim Lampley was sentenced to three years of probation Wednesday after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor charge of violating a restraining order.

LEIPHEIMER STILL LEADS: Jens Voight of Germany outsprinted race leader Levi Leipheimer on Wednesday to win the third stage of the Amgen Tour of California in San Jose.
Voight, the CSC rider who won the 2006 Tour of Germany and took a stage of the Tour de France last year, finished the 94.6-mile ride from Stockton to San Jose in 3 hours, 43 minutes, 44 seconds.
