Salt Lake City police arrested a man who walked into the Utah Food Bank with a gun, pointing it at employees and demanding to know where his girlfriend was.
Police said the man had been arguing with his girlfriend on Thursday. In an attempt to make him feel bad, officers said the girlfriend claimed she was being injured and simulated screams and beating noises. The man took his gun to the food bank to find her.
The 38-year-old man was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on investigation of aggravated assault and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police believe he had been smoking methamphetamine before the crime.
