Leda Whittington Sells 1920 ~ 2007 Leda Sells, 86, passed away Fri., February 23, 2007, in Bountiful, Utah. She was born June 10, 1920, in Garden City, Utah, the daughter of Charles Thomas and Edith Pope Whittington. Leda was raised on the shores of Bear Lake. On September 25, 1939, Leda married Gean Cook Eastman in Coalville, Utah. They have one daughter, Sharon. They later divorced. Leda married Dale Vernon Sells on June 9, 1946, in San Diego, California. They have one son, Larry. Together they lived in California, Colorado, Maryland, Kentucky and retired to Arizona for five years before returning to Utah in 1980. Leda was a former president of E.A.G.L.E.S. and a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She loved to read and go shopping. Leda enjoyed beautiful flowers, walking, and her pet Chihuahua. She also enjoyed watching and feeding all birds. Leda is survived by her son, Larry Dale Sells (Sharon) of Bountiful, Utah; and her daughter, Sharon Eastman Marcyes (Dave), also of Bountiful; 11 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Leda is the last of her generation having been preceded in death by her husband and four brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at the Lindquist Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East. Viewings will be held on Tuesday, February 27th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and on Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
