Connie Anderson Ronan 1932 ~ 2007 Our beautiful loving mother, sister, grammy and friend passed away peacefully February 2, 2007, three and a half months after being diagnosed with cancer. She was born at home on a farm in Cleveland, Utah, on November 27, 1932 to Floyd Wilson Anderson and Rosanna Richards Anderson. She was the fifth of seven girls and a favorite acquaintance to all who knew her in that small town. Upon graduating from North Emery High School in 1951, Connie attended Carbon College which has since been renamed the College of Eastern Utah. She returned to North Emery High to become the secretary of the school and in 1953 began working for Safeway Stores. A short time later, she was hired by Mountain Bell and worked there nine years before meeting and eventually marrying William Jerry Ronan on February 2, 1962. Together they had five children. Connie returned to work at Mountain Bell (US West) in the early 1980's and retired February 17, 1995. She loved traveling, especially with her sisters, bowling and caring for her grandchildren. Connie was a single working mother for most of her career and worked tirelessly to provide for her family. Her children were the center and joy of her life. She was an extraordinary mother. Words cannot express the loss of someone loved so dear. Connie is survived by three of her children; Mitchell Ronan, Maunette Ronan-Bacon (Jonathan), and Martin Ronan, three granddaughters, Morgan Ronan, Emily Bacon and Lauren Bacon, two beloved sisters; Ona Hunt and Kelly Rowley and two "adopted" granddaughters; Cierra and Mariah Purdee. Preceded in death by her husband, two sons; Richard Jerry Ronan and Michael William Ronan, one grandson; James Ronan Bacon, and four sisters; Janet Anderson, Berlyle Kochevar, Margaret Christensen, and Ramona Jensen. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East. Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Murray City Cemetery immediately following the service. The family would like to thank the staff of Care Source Hospice and Christus Saint Joseph's Villa for their gentle care of Connie.
