Community Supported Agriculture will be discussed at a meeting sponsored by the Great Salt Lake Resource Conservation and Development Council Feb. 21, 6:30 p.m., on the lower level of the Salt Lake City Main Library, 210 E. 400 South. Community supported agriculture, or CSA, is a partnerships with farmers. Members pay a fee up front to help with the farm's operating expenses. Lugano, 3364 S. 2300 East, is celebrating Valentine's Day, with Venetian-inspired cuisine on Feb. 14, from 4:45-10 p.m. Guests can choose four courses from a chef's tasting menu for $48 (412-9994).
The Paris, 1500 S. 1500 East, is taking reservations for a Valentine's Day six-course dinner for $79.95 per person, or a four-course dinner for $59.95 per person. The dinner is served from 5-10 p.m. Feb. 14 (486-5585).
Papa Murphy's pizza chain will celebrate Valentine's Day with heart-shaped pizza Feb. 12-14. The large pizza is $4.99; customers can add toppings of their choice. Heart-shaped chocolate-chip cookies will also be offered at some locations.
P.F. Chang's will debut a "flavors of Yunnan" menu Feb. 18 to showcase one of China's regional cuisines. The menu will be available until September. Some of the dishes offered are Wok Charred Beef, Dali Chicken and Zodiac Noodles (pfchangs.com).
Bambara, 202 S. Main, is celebrating Mardi Gras with a three-course special for $28 from Feb. 13-20. Soup and entrees — including crawfish etouffee, shrimp bisque and gumbo — will change nightly. One dollar from each special sold will benefit Share Our Strength's relief efforts in New Orleans. Chef Robert Barker will also unveil his grandmother's secret recipe for Bourbon Street Bread Pudding. Creole-inspired dishes will also be offered for the restaurant's daily Blue Plate Lunch Special for $11 (363-5454 or www.bambara-slc.com).
The Mandarin, 348 E. 900 North, Bountiful, is celebrating its 29th annual Chinese New Year Feb. 19-March 3, beginning at 5 p.m. The traditional Lion Dance will be performed at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 21.
Chef Zhen Wei Liu will prepare an eight-course Chinese New Year Menu for parties of four or more people, for $22 per person. Reservations are accepted for parties of eight or more, Monday-Saturday (298-2406 or mandarinutah.com).
Stacy's Pita Chip Co. last weekend sent a gift box of the company's pita chips to 133,000 people across the country named Stacy. Utah ranks fifth in the list of top 10 cities with the highest concentration of people named Stacy. Minneapolis/St. Paul ranks No. 1, according to data from the company.
