Diana L. Cook McMurrin 1948 ~ 2007 Diana Lynn Cook McMurrin, born July 15, 1948, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Jefferson E. Cook and Marian Rynearson Flake of Centerville, Utah, passed away peacefully February 2, 2007 after valiantly fighting cancer for over six years. Diana was raised in Hawaii and graduated from Punahou High School in 1966. She graduated from BYU in 1970 and later received her master's degree in Library Science. Diana's five beautiful children were raised in West Covina, CA. Diana enjoyed reading, hiking, swimming, playing at the beach and spending time with her family. She loved working as a librarian for Thousand Oaks High School in CA. Diana met and married her sweetheart, Daryl McMurrin of Thousand Oaks, CA and Salt Lake City in 2005. Diana was active in the LDS Church and devoted countless hours of service to help other people. She was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. She touched many people's lives and was thankful to all who helped her through her illness. She is survived by her husband, Daryl, her five children, Carol Pearson (Ryan), John Seymour (La Homa), Heidi Irwin (Tim), Robert Seymour (Ashley), David Seymour, and her mother, Marian Cook Flake, and also her sisters, Sherry Tingley, Nancy Collings (Jim), and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and eight grandchildren. Diana will be deeply missed. There will be graveside services held at Bountiful Lakeview Mortuary Estates 12 noon on Thursday, February 8, 2007.
