Clara Ovard "Together again" Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Clara Ellen Gerrard Ovard returned home to her Heavenly Father and again joined her eternal companion March 24, 2007 at her home in Henefer, Utah. She was born March 19, 1920 in Evanston Wyoming to James Gerrard and Mary Beatrice Clark. She spent her childhood years in Echo, Utah. She married Lawrence "Bud" Ovard March 6, 1937 in Ogden, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple June 17, 1964. Together they had six children. They enjoyed 50 years together before Bud passed away November 7, 1987. She was an active member of the Henefer 1st Ward where she served in many leadership positions, and as an extraction worker for 19 years. She liked to read, camp, crochet, and made many beautiful items for her family. Surviving are her children, Harold (Delores) Ovard, Pat (Bonnie) Ovard, Paul Ovard, Judy (Bob) Roath, and Doyle "Dode" Ovard; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchil-dren; and six great great-grandchil-dren. Also surviving are two brothers, David Gerrard, Dewain Gerrard; and a sister, Bea Crompton. She was preceded in death by her husband; one infant daughter, Elaine; two brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007, Henefer Ward chapel with a viewing Tuesday, March 27, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. and from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
