Fifth-grade students watch as a string pulls a clay "fish" through a tank of water during Elementary Engineering Week at the University of Utah Monday. The students were asked to make a fast or slow fish for the experiment on hydrodynamics. Activities for some 1,500 fifth- and sixth-graders from 17 schools this week include building towers of drinking straws and catapulting marshmallows.
