OREM — It will be a music lover's heaven this summer at the SCERA Shell Outdoor Theater.

The SCERA will present six major concerts and three musicals spanning more than five decades.

Opening the season May 28 is "The Association," the 1960s group whose hits include "Along Comes Mary," "Cherish" and "Windy."

On June 25, the country sounds of "Restless Heart," Country Music's Vocal Group of the Year from 1990, will perform hits including "That Rock Won't Roll," "I'll Still Be Lovin' You" and "You Can Depend on Me."

Darryl Worley, country music's Top New Male Vocalist in 2002, will take the stage July 24. Worley is noted for his 911 anthem and 2003 Song of the Year, "Have You Forgotten?"

Michael Feinstein, one of the premiere interpreters of the golden age of American popular song will perform Aug. 20. As a crooner, pianist, composer and recording artist Feinstein has a resume that includes numerous Grammy nods, his own one-man Broadway show, major symphonies at notable halls like the Hollywood Bowl and Carnegie Hall.

On Aug. 27, take a trip back to the '80s with recording star Richard Marx. the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter who ruled the radio with 19 Top 20 Singles including seven No. 1 hits. He won a 2004 Song of the Year Grammy for "Dance With My Father."

Ending the concert season will be the '70s band "America," who produced global hits like "A Horse With No Name," "Ventura Highway," "Lonely People," "I Need You" and "You Can Do Magic." The duo of Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnel continue America's mix of rock, pop, jazz, country and folk music.

Three classic musicals are also on tap: From June 8-23 the Tony Award-winning musical "Ragtime," directed by David Whitlock, will be center stage. Ragtime paints a powerful portrait of the diverse melting pot of humanity at the turn of the last century in America. The show's score draws upon folk, vaudeville and jazz to invoke the historic spirit of the era.

Cole Porter's legendary, musical play-within-a-play, "Kiss Me Kate," directed by Chris Clark, will run July 6-21. The story is a modern musical based on Shakespeare's comedy, "The Taming of the Shrew," and is filled with notable songs such as, "Another Opnin', Another Show," and "I Hate Men."

Wrapping up the summer stage season is Meredith Willson's Broadway classic, "The Music Man," directed by Jerry Elison.
