Alliant Techsystems announced Monday that it has received an $85.8 million contract from Lockheed Martin to produce solid rocket propulsion systems for all three stages of the U.S. Navy's Trident II (D-5) Fleet Ballistic Missile.

Under terms of the contract, ATK will continue to supply Trident solid rocket propulsion systems to Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. through 2011.

ATK said it will produce the propulsion systems at its Utah facilities.
