Louis B. Cardon 1922 ~ 2007 Louis Ballard Cardon, age 84, died April 8, 2007 in Mesa, AZ. He was born November 29, 1922, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Louis B. and Eleanor Hendricks Cardon. He married Edith Moeller on March 21, 1947, in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with five children, Kathy, Janet, Louis Phillip, Reed and Mathew. He graduated from East High School and then attended the University of Utah. He served in the Army in World War II and Korea and retired from the Army Reserves. After his service in World War II he went to work in the abstract business with his father. He worked many hard hours to provide for his family. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in many positions in the Church including a Family History Mission at the Family History Center in Mesa. He enjoyed photography as well as trains - both models and old steam locomotives, and he was a member of the NRHS. He was also a member of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers and held several positions in that organization. He is survived by his children: Kathyrn of West Valley City, UT; Janet K. Lovell (Russell) of Lake Jackson, TX; Louis Phillip (Cheryl) of Roanoke, TX; Reed Ballard of Smithfield, UT; and Mathew Arthur (Sherry) of Casa Grande, AZ; sister, Carol Child of Indigo, CA; and a brother-in-law, Eldon Alsop of Salt Lake City, UT; and 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith, his parents, his sister Gloria Alsop and grandson John Benjamin Lovell. Funeral services will be held on Sat., April 14, 2007, at the Redwood Memorial Chapel, 6500 S. Redwood Road, at 11 a.m. A viewing will take place one hour prior to the services. Interment to follow at Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
