Richard R. Nelson, president and chief executive officer of the Utah Technology Council, has been appointed chairman and CEO of the Council of Regional Information Technology Associations.

Nelson will oversee CRITA membership, which provides regional technology associations with a network of industry knowledge, relationships and access to influence public policy issues affecting the technology industry. Nelson will hold the position for two years.
