Richard R. Nelson, president and chief executive officer of the Utah Technology Council, has been appointed chairman and CEO of the Council of Regional Information Technology Associations.
Nelson will oversee CRITA membership, which provides regional technology associations with a network of industry knowledge, relationships and access to influence public policy issues affecting the technology industry. Nelson will hold the position for two years.
CRITA is the largest North American technology organization, representing more than 45 technology associations and councils in the United States and Canada with a combined membership of about 16,000 tech-related corporate members. CRITA also has an alliance with the Information Technology Association of America, and Nelson will serve on the ITAA board.
