CARSON, Calif. — Carlos Ruiz and Kenny Cooper scored in the first half to lead FC Dallas to a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy on Thursday night.
With the victory, Dallas (1-0-1) broke a 13-game winless streak on the road against the Galaxy (0-1-1) that began in 2001 and included 11 consecutive losses.
Galaxy rookie Robbie Findley broke the shutout in the 86th minute with a 7-yard header inside the right post off Landon Donovan's corner kick.
