Ralph George Duncombe 1931 ~ 2007 Ralph George Duncombe passed away after a valiant fight on April 15, 2007. He was born on Sept. 19, 1931 to Lester Dean and Rachel Emery Duncombe in Salt Lake City. Married Leslie Carol Butterfield in 1980. As a boy, Ralph was involved in scouting from the age of 12 to 15. He graduated from West High School in 1950 and served a mission for the LDS Church in the East Central States from 1951-1953. He was a member of the Sacra Dulce Chorus. After his mission, Ralph joined the U.S. Army for two years 1953-55. He spent 16 months in Korea after his training. He attended the University of Utah for two years and he retired from the National Guard after 36 years of service. He retired from Civil service at Hill Air Force Base after working there 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Carol; daughters, Tammy Rose, Heidi (Ken) Cox, Robin Rose, Wendy Rose, and Michelle (Mark) Thatcher; 10 grandchildren and two great-grand-children; twin sister, Ruth (Eddie) Kershaw and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly Jensen Duncombe. Funeral services will be held Sat., April 21, 2007 at 12 Noon in the West Jordan Heritage 3rd Ward, 7350 S. 3200 W. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple and Sat. at the Ward 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates.
