Pianist Derek Han, who was scheduled to perform with the Utah Symphony next weekend, has withdrawn because of a shoulder injury. Fabio Bidini, who appeared with the symphony in January, will play instead. Pavel Kogan will conduct.
The planned program will not change, said Jana Allred, spokeswoman for the Utah Symphony. It will feature Bidini playing Maurice Ravel's Concerto in G. Also on the program are Ravel's "Daphnis et Chloe" Suite No. 2 and Georges Bizet's little known symphony "Roma."
The performances will take place at Abravanel Hall, 123 S. West Temple, Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. Tickets are $12-$48 and can be purchased at 355-2787, 888-451-2787or www.arttix.org.
A dress rehearsal at Abravanel Hall on Friday at 10 a.m. is open to the public. Tickets for that range from $4 to $18 and can be purchased at the Abravanel Hall box office.
