Obituary: Katherine Virginia Brady Daley

Katherine Virginia Brady Daley "Together Again" Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Katherine Daley-Summers, passed away peacefully to Heavenly Father, April 2, 2007, at home with her loving family by her side. Born February 14, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James and Anna Wall Brady. Married James L. Daley Sr. April 10, 1937; solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple June 28, 1965; he preceded her in death in 1986. Married Jay Summers January 3, 1994; he preceded her in death. Her greatest accomplishment was her family, her foster children, and the work she did in the foster care system. Survived by her children: Janice Langston, Judy (Mike) McMahon, Kathy Peterson, Georgia (Frank) Salcido, James L. (Charlotte) Daley, Elwaine (Sherry) Daley, Michael (Joan) Daley, Bruce (Marianne) Arnold; 30 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great grandchildren. Also preceded in death by her parents; son; grandson; sister and a brother. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the hospice nurse, Kathy, for her devoted care of Katherine. Funeral services will be held Fri., 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewing will be held Thurs., 6-8 p.m. and Fri. one hour prior to services. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
