Jonathan Kent Hansen 1970 ~ 2007 Jonathan Kent Hansen was born on January 25, 1970. He passed away on April 4, 2007. Jon was born in Des Moines, IA. He lived briefly in Cleveland, OH and Boise, ID, but spent most of his life in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated with the Class of 1988 from Highland High School and from the University of Utah with a BA in Music Performance. Jon was a talented musician who enjoyed many types of music, particularly gospel. He met Susanne Nagele in 1996. They married in Bad Vilbel, Germany in March of 1999. Their first son was born in March of 2003 and their second in October, 2005. Jon was a devoted father, husband, son, brother and friend who put all whom he met instantly at ease and had a talent for making everyone feel like his best friend. He worked hard and succeeded at everything he tried, and never gave up on anything or anyone. He will be dearly missed by all. Jon is survived by his wife, Susanne, his two sons, Samuel and Christian, his parents, Kent and Paula (Patterson) Hansen, and eight siblings with their spouses and children: April Michelle Hansen; Sherene Hansen Player (Roch); Christopher Hansen (Diana Colby); Matthew Hansen (Sarah); Robert Hansen (Melanie); Sarah Hansen Tanner (Mark); Emily Hansen Smith (Drew); David Hansen; and seven nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sunset Lawn Mortuary (2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84108). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to help make donations for the children to the Jon Hansen Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank.
