A tonic for today’s woes

SHARE A tonic for today’s woes

Another LDS General Conference has concluded, offering a tonic for most of today's woes. We were encouraged to create peace and harmony in our homes, to bridle tongues and speak kindly in our families and avoid hurtful gossip. Temptations of addicting substances and pornography were powerfully warned against. We were urged to forgive others, to fill our lives with appropriate music and to dress modestly. There was the sweet invitation for prayer, repentance and the studying of the Holy Bible and other scriptures.

This prescription for joyful living — accompanied by thankful hearts — is universal medication (with no co-pay) for all people of all faiths.
