Duane W. Burdette 1933 ~ 2007 Duane Burdette passed away peacefully in a Salt Lake City hospital June 8, 2007. He was born April 7, 1933 to Walter and Mae Burdette. He graduated from Granite High School and married Gae Naisbitt October 4, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dad loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed the outdoors where he spent much of his time in his trailer. Dad loved to hang out at the swimming pool when he wasn't being the ultimate NASCAR fan. He worked for P.I.E. as a driver, from which he retired after 24 years. Dad's out going manner afforded him a lot of friends as long as they loved to talk NASCAR, Chevy's and would listen to his jokes. Duane is survived by his wife, Gae; children, Becky (Terry), Kelly (Deaune), Brad (Carla), Mark (Kari), Jeff, Bryan, Travis; 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Steven; and sister, Darlene Herzog. He is preceded in death by son, Matthew; his parents; his brother, Joel; and sister, Betty. Services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2007, 12:00 noon at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held at Wasatch Lawn Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to service. Interment/Entombment will be at Wasatch Lawn.
