FLY AWAY. SkyWest Airlines recently began service between Salt Lake City and San Luis Obispo, near central California's scenic coast, as part of Delta Air Lines Summer Expansion. The region includes such well-known sights as Hearst Castle as well as beautiful beaches. SkyWest is one of Delta's regional carriers.

In other airline news, Delta has begun nonstop service from Salt Lake City to Victoria, B.C., also operated by SkyWest Airlines. Flights leave Salt Lake at 11:10 a.m. and arrive in Victoria at 12:25 p.m. Flights leave Victoria at 12:45 p.m. and arrive in Salt Lake at 4:05 p.m.

SUBS RESURFACE AT DISNEYLAND RESORT. The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, which opened June 11 in the Tomorrowland Lagoon, prompted a little creative thinking. To accommodate the expected crowds, the theme park will allow guests to join the line until the official park closing and the subs will continue their voyage to find Nemo for up to 2 1/2 hours after the park closes. "We're very excited to bring back the classic sub attraction, which we know will appeal to guests of all ages," said Ed Grier, president of Disneyland Resort, in a press release. "In order to meet what we believe will be very high demand, we're virtually adding an '8th day' to the week."

UP, UP AND AWAY on the Bridger Gondola at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming. This is the first summer that the resort has operated its gondola, which climbs 2,800 vertical feet to its top station, elevation 9,095 feet. In addition to offering a scenic ride up the mountain with views of Jackson Hole and the Tetons, the gondola gives visitors access for hiking, paragliding, rock climbing and backpacking. There are also opportunities to satisfy your hunger. Two new restaurants cater to all tastes. Headwall Deli provides sandwiches and snacks. Couloir is a full-service restaurant.
