Connie Fay Lawrence 1944 ~ 2007 HURRICANE, UT- Connie Fay Lawrence, age 62, passed away June 17, 2007, in Hurricane, Utah. She was born Sept. 29, 1944, in Kansas City, MO. to Eldon and Fay Harston Harris. Connie married Ronald Lawrence on Dec. 7, 1983. Connie was raised and attended high school in Lovell, Wyoming. She was also a resident of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho and Florida, and moved to Southern Utah in 1971. She was an avid supporter and fund raiser for the Fire and Police Departments. She was a past president of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Post 3151, and was also president of the Ladies Auxiliary. Connie was an influential member of the community. Connie was the owner and operator of the El Chapperal for 23 years. She started Connie Lawrence Trucking and enjoyed going on the truck with her husband Ron. She enjoyed photography, quilting, e-mailing family and friends, playing the piano and was a member of the LDS Church. Connie is survived by her husband Ronald of Hurricane, UT; her children, R. Scott (Holly) Lewis of LaVerkin, UT; Rhonda (Joseph) Killian of Salt Lake City, UT; Pamela Lawrence and Dion Hinton of LaVerkin, UT; Jim (Shelly) Lawrence of Puyallup, WA; Connie L. (Boyd) Barney of Hurricane, UT; Mindy (Casey) Chivers of Virgin, UT; Brenda (Jason) Curtis of Hurricane, UT; 35 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Roy W. Harris, Robert Harris, Jay Lawrence, Rolayne Bracken, Carol Wright, Junior Ashton, Evelyn Lawrence, and LaRae Bauer. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Gary Lawrence; daughter-in-law, Nola Kay Lewis. Funeral services will be held Thurs., June 21, 2007, at 11 a.m., at the Hurricane LDS West Stake Center, 270 S. 700 W., Hurricane, UT. A visitation will be held Wed., from 6-8 p.m., at the Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 N. Main St., Hurricane, UT., and Thurs., from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at the Stake Center, prior to services.
