Obituary: Tevaseu Vaefua William Hunt

Tevaseu Vaefua William Hunt 8/12/1926 ~ 6/19/2007 "A'o au ma lou aiga matou te auana ia Ieova" Vaefua was born in Vaitoloa, Samoa to Charlie Isaac Hunt and Agnes "Gese" Von Breichlin. Vaefua married Serafi Sopoaga on October 1st, 1949 in Pesega, Samoa. They were sealed for time and all eternity on October 15th, 1968 in the LDS New Zealand Temple. Their children are: Levei Violet (deceased), Selena Saofaiga, Rita Joan (Faalafu'a), Roderic Harris (Iris), a baby boy (deceased), Levei Luisa (Lavender), Sama Tracy (Debbie), Dawn Serafi (Jack), Aurelia Aolelei, Apelu Barry Clay (Shirley), Elna Faaati (Shakespeare). Vaefua has 37 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Vaefua is the second oldest of Charlie and Gese's children: Vaipuna Hunt Aiono (sister, deceased), Tuioti Amuia Hunt (brother), Charles Steven Hunt (deceased), Tala'i Hunt Broederlow (sister), Avefua Mary Hunt (sister). Our father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, friend will be greatly missed. A well respected man in his day, he was ambitious and excelled in his personal/business endeavors. He served faithfully in various capacities within the LDS Church. He enjoyed playing and watching sports. Vaefua and Serafi moved their family from Samoa to Utah in 1975 to provide educational opportunities for their children. Family service will be held at 11 a.m. Mon., June 25, 2007 at the LDS 15th Ward/Stake Center, 1155 North 1200 West, Salt Lake City, Utah, where family and friends may visit from 9:00-10:30 a.m. prior to services.
